2nd Annual EDS Ride for A Cause on May 30th, 2015
Save the Date! Last year’s #rideforacause at Zengo Cycle in Bethesda, MD was a great success, so we are doing it again and making it even better this year! (See link below for pictures & details from last year’s #rideforacause).
Join us for a great event raising awareness for Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), just as we wrap-up National EDS Awareness Month in May!
More details will be announced, as I work them out, but please “Save the Date!” The plan is to expand on our successful charity ride at Zengo and possibly include a 5k (making it a Dulathlon), as well as hold a benefit gala (AKA – fun party with music, dancing & good food) in the evening.
Just like last year, all participants will receive an event t-shirt and we will also have give-aways, door prizes & great snacks!
All proceeds will benefit The Ehlers-Danlos National Foundation (EDNF).
To keep updated on event details, times, places, hotel information (if you wish to travel), etc., please refer back to our event page, since all information will be posted here. So, stay tuned!

In collaboration with the EDS Ride for a Cause, Our Stories of Strength – Living with EDS Anthology will be published the same month and those attending the EDS Charity Ride wil be in the running to win a free copy.
In November, Mysti and I announced Our Stories of Strength – Living with EDS; an anthology highlighting strength, perseverance, and resilience of those of us making headway against the grain. The time is drawing near to close submissions on this anthology so it can be prepped for publication. However, we wanted to make sure that anyone who may not have heard about this project, was given the chance to share how you have found ways to persevere. We have also opened up submissions for Fibromyalgia and POTS/Dysautonomia and have a few more that will open soon. Our website for the book is linked below and our Facebook page is Our Stories of Strength.
Edited to add: We have someone in our community who is contributing the forward and we have received a variety of submissions from a spiritual perspective of persevering to the physical strength needed to live well. We are accepting poetry, letters, written essays, and art & a portion of the proceeds from the sale of each book will benefit EDNF.
