About Dr. Linda Bluestein:
“Dr. Linda Bluestein, M.D., has been practicing medicine for over 20 years. She received her Doctorate of Medicine (M.D.) from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Medicine and completed her internship and residency at the prestigious Mayo Graduate School of Medicine in Rochester, Minnesota. Before opening Wisconsin Integrative Pain Specialists, Dr. Bluestein practiced medicine in Wisconsin. In addition to Dr. Bluestein’s years of training in traditional medicine, she developed a keen interest in utilizing functional and integrative medicine to treat painful conditions after a personal experience with the limitations of traditional medicine. Linda S. Bluestein, M.D. is certified through the American Board of Anesthesiologists.
As a former ballet dancer, Dr. Bluestein has a unique interest in treating dancers, gymnasts, circus performers and other people at increased risk of hypermobility disorders. Her love of dance and genuine understanding of these athletes is paramount to accurately diagnosing and effectively treating these individuals.
Dr. Bluestein’s work focuses on empowering patients through education and improving the interaction between patients and their healthcare professionals. Her true dedication to helping patients with chronic pain led her to volunteer her time with several different non-profit organizations. As a Medical Consultant for EDS Wisconsin, Inc., a non-profit organization serving the needs of EDS patients throughout Wisconsin, Dr. Bluestein regularly volunteers her time conducting educational programming for patients and their families. As a volunteer member of the Medical Advisory Board for EDS Wellness, a national organization focused on empowering people with EDS and related disorders, Dr. Bluestein reaches a wide audience of patients striving for better health using an integrative approach. Dr. Bluestein is also a Professional Member of the Hypermobility Syndromes Association (HMSA), a dynamic charity based in the United Kingdom that offers the highest level of support and healthcare information to both patients and healthcare professionals. “Jennifer Varga M.P.H., R.D. is a Registered Dietitian who completed her undergraduate degree at the University of California, Santa Barbara and her Master’s in Public Health Nutrition from Loma Linda University. Jennifer’s specialty is utilizing the functionality of foods with their immune modulating and anti-inflammatory components to improve disease management. There are many outcomes of pain treatment that an optimal diet can positively impact such as sleep, energy and mental functioning.
